2007 National Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction

The Brief and Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz just won the 2007 National Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction. The book's title comes from the Spanglish pronunciation of Oscar Wilde, who the protagonist supposedly resembles when dressed up in his Halloween costume.
