Orange Prize Long List Announced

The Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction long list has been announced. The 20-book list includes some already-recognized books (e.g., Anne Enright's The Gathering, winner of the 2007 Man Booker Prize) and some unfamiliar names. This list is usually a good place to find your next read. If you don't have time for all 20 and want someone else to narrow down the list for you, the short list will be announced on April 15th, and the winner will be announced on June 4th.

The Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction is open to any full length novel written in English by a woman of any nationality, provided that the novel is published for the first time in the United Kingdom between April 1st of the year before the prize is awarded and March 31st of the year in which the prize is awarded.
