Scott Esposito talks about why Americans love Robert Bolaño so much in the new issue of Hermano Cerdo (scroll down past the table of contents to get to the article). I agree with just about everything Scott says about why Americans might be drawn to Bolaño and his writing, but I still can't join the praise of this "darling of the American literary media." I highly recommend Scott's literary blog Conversational Reading. It's one of my favorites.
