24-Hour Reading Marathon

Earlier this year, RiverRun Bookstore in Portsmouth, New Hampshire hosted a 24-hour reading marathon. To participate, customers sought sponsors and committed to read at the bookstore for 24 hours. The proceeds from the event were donated to a local charity. RiverRun is hosting another reading marathon later this year from 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 10, to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11 and is encouraging other independent booksellers nationwide to take up the challenge.
