Oprah will be announcing her new book club pick on Friday, September, 19th. The lucky publisher is HarperCollins, and I’m sure they’re busy cranking out thousands of copies this very minute. Both Amazon and BN.com are showing the new selection as a $25.95 hardcover. It’s possible Oprah’s choice is a thriller because the Amazon page is showing that customers who bought items like this also bought books by Kathy Reichs, Jeffery Deaver, Tess Gerritsen, Nelson Demille, Robert Crais, James Patterson, etc. (almost all thrillers). It's just as possible that Amazon's matches are meaningless.
