As reported in Bookseller and Publisher Online, a subsidiary of the owner of Borders bookstores in the South Pacific region has just opened two stores in Melbourne, Australia specifically intended for "women and families." According the summary of the openings in Shelf Awareness, the stores are organized into four "lifestyle zones": My Self, My Family, My Home, and My World. So where would I find a copy of the latest Philip Roth novel? I suspect this organizational scheme would drive me insane. Literally and literarily.
