Atticus Finch from Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird was the clear winner with 56% of the vote. I find the runner up much more interesting (and humorous): Mr. Darcy from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.

Mr. Darcy as President?
Over at her website, author Jessica James polled visitors about "the literary character they think best exemplifies the qualities of a U.S. president."
