NYTBR 100 Notable Books of 2008

The New York Times Book Review has announced its list of 100 Notable Books of 2008. The list is selected from books reviewed since December of last year. I don't know how many books the New York Times reviews in a year, but I'm guessing the odds are fairly good for making it onto the top 100 list. More interesting is the top 10 list, which will be published next week.

I've only read 2 of the books, but I have 2 more in my TBR pile.

On the other hand, you have me, who has read 0 of the books on that list. I will be lucky to hit 40 books read this year, which is the most I've read in the 3 years since I've been tracking the books that I read... so there's no way I could have ever read all of those books anyway! Maybe if they're still notable in 10 years' time I'll get around to giving some of them a whirl...

I've only read 10, and I'm working on the 11th (The Forever War). I just counted.
