The 2008 Highlight Reel
In case you haven't been paying much attention to the publishing industry this year, GalleyCat has compiled the year's biggest publishing stories in twelve short summaries, one for each month. See if you've missed anything. For example, back in February, remember when Zadie Smith, the judge for the Willisden Herald International Short Story Prize, called off the competition after deciding nobody's fiction was good enough? Each month has it's own post beginning with December and working backwards to January. It's been an eventful year in publishing.
