The Guardian, a UK bookseller is gearing up to offer print-on-demand books while customers wait. The Espresso Book Machine (EBM) can print and bind any one of a million titles at a rate of about 40 pages per minute. We might be looking at the future of the bookstore.

Last I heard, there were only two- one in Washington and one in Alexandria. I think it's a great idea for hard to find titles.
