Writing the Same Book Over and Over

Conversational Reading has an interesting guest post by Christina Thompson, editor of Harvard Review, about how we sometimes keep writing the same books over and over. Thompson’s new book, Come on Shore and We Will Kill and Eat You All, has just been reviewed (lukewarm) in the New York Times Book Review. On her website, Thompson describes the book as a “mix of geography, sociology, history, and autobiography.” The book is a blend of “a memoir of [Thompson’s] marriage to a Maori man with a history of the European-Maori relationship.”
