New York Times, this year's 25 recipients of $500,000 MacArthur "genius awards" include writers Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, author of
Half of a Yellow Sun, and Alex Ross, music critic for
The New Yorker and author of
The Rest Is Noise. Each winner gets $100,000 a year for five years with no strings attached.
