Obama Reading Netherland
As reported in the New York Times, Barak Obama is "sick enough of briefing books to begin reading a novel in the evenings ." His pick: Joseph O'Neill's Netherland. A nice choice, in my opnion (my review). More important than Obama's current book is the fact that he's an intelligent and visible reader. We don't have enough of those.

I completely agree that it is fabulous that this smart, cool, powerful man is open and upfront about the fact that he likes to read for pleasure. Hopefully he will be a great influence on boys who think that reading is for girls.
It's just a pleasure to have a President that reads anything more than a couple of paragraphs long.
